21 June 2007Karaoke with the Stars
On the 21st June 2007, a benefit auction and dinner was held at Ronnie Scott’s which raised £440,000 in support of the work of the Hoping Foundation for Palestinian refugee children. Russell Brand guest presented a karaoke auction with Harry Dalmeny of Sotheby’s whereby guests were able to bid for the chance to sing with or be serenaded by one of the celebrity performers. Artists included Elton John, Bryan Adams, James Blunt, Jools Holland, Nick Cave, Lulu, Sharleen Spiteri, Chrissie Hynde, Mick Jones and Jeff Beck.
