Oral History Interviews and Summer Outings
Aida Camp, Bethlehem, Palestine

A small grant aided youth at the Lajee Centre in the production of a bi-lingual oral history book and CD-ROM. A summer camp included outings for the children to other youth centres in the West Bank and introduced them to projects that educate children on subjects such as the separation wall and the state of Palestinians inside Israel. The children also recorded interviews with camp elders about their experiences in the villages and the early years of Aida refugee camp. Funds went towards bus rental, food for the children, recording equipment for the interviews, and CD and book production.
