Connecting Palestinian Youth with the Older Generations through Oral History- 2006-2008
In order to help young Palestinians living in refugee camps in the Middle East learn about the past, HOPING continues to sponsor an innovative project to develop a oral history database. Young Palestinians participate by devising questions and recording interviews with the older generation. Training workshops are held, and recording equipment provided for the local youth centres in several countries, bringing together stories of Palestinians dispersed across many regions. This summer HOPING has expanded support to include oral history workshops in Lebanon.
