Palestinian Medical Relief Society, Gaza

HOPING raised £32,450 for the Palestinian Medical Relief Society's emergency response in Gaza and the occupied West Bank of Palestine, to provide medical supplies for PMRS volunteers trained in first response, and based in Palestinian communities difficult for ambulances to reach. The funds also covered relief packages for families whose homes have been destroyed, or who have been evicted from them, with basic provisions such as clothing, food, soap, nappies, and the like. The appeal also contributed towards emergency medication, especially for Gaza, including pain relief, oxygen, antibiotics and anaesthesia. In 2018 we ran a similar campaign to support PMRS paramedics who helped the injured at the frontlines of the Great March of Return.
